If, however, you need to save the system, I suggest you try booting from the Redhat installation CD in rescue mode (by typing "linux rescue" at the boot prompt), then have a look at your /etc/fstab. If you can't find the problem then post your fstab file to the list and I'm sure someone will be able to help. Also look at any other files you changed which could affect mounting or the filesystem.
