If you do this will it recompile the kernal to a realtime version? - iirc the "default" kernel in Studio is realtime in order to reduce latency in audiovisual apps. Are the apps perhaps intertwined in some way to interface efficiently with a realtime kernel and therefore you end up with a distro that cant be reproduced using Gordon's method too?
