Must agree about the humanity bit. A friend had signed up for BT broadband with USB. After a week of that I persuaded him to get a router instead and was 'volunteered' to help install. I had the bits of paper from BT with settings but it would not connect. First phone call to support got 'everything's all right at our end' type answer. Half an hour later, I tried again. This next chap was switched on and checked through the settings and identified the problem (wrong bit of paper for user name / password). My experiences with Tiscali support have been awful. Eclipse have been terrific. But, in part, that's how humanity works. Not everyone will go that extra step.
