OK - I admit I know almost zero about GUI enabled email programs. I'm still using a text-only one. It's currently using 28MB of RAM which I still think is too much, but it has been running for a few weeks now and I do have some very big mail folders. (some over a GB or 2)For comparison, I'm using opera's mail client, I've liked and it is currently using 131MB. Yes I know it's proprietary but I haven't found any other I've liked.
I have occasionally had ram problems if I have opera open while watching alot of youtube in firefox but it's very rare. I have 1 gig of ram on this comp and an atom N270. It doesn't happen often enough to make me want to upgrade to 2gigs.
