This is nothing new from Gnome sadly, I'm not trolling as I really like Gnome and it is my primary desktop. It still *really* peeves me that they removed the means to adjust the settings for screensavers, Whilst following it at the time in a bug tracker post one of the upstream guys basically said, that everyone else had been doing it wrong and this was the better way... No settings, you use the colours/text we give you. in UbuntuLand Timeline that was around Dapper I think, 3 or 4 years later, there is still no way to adjust a screensavers settings. Back to the buttons though, I have to wonder why Ubuntu would move these buttons now when isn't Gnome 3 supposed to be shoved down our throats end of this year, or was it put back. And Gnome 3.. Wow, is *that* gonna rile a lot of people. -- John Williams My linux blog of notes and guides http://subbass.blogspot.com/ -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
