Hi , I feel I need to correct some inaccuracies in this post. Yes VM do traffic manage their network to ensure every one gets a fair crack of the whip You said they throttle you after about 200 mb , sorry that is plain gibberish Everyone has a daily threshold dependent on time of day and which package you are on. Its closer to several gig not megs The throttle period is usually 3 hours not three days. I've recently switched to the 50 Mbits service and they don't yet throttle people. I expect it may come in at some time or other but currently its a free for all ISP's monitoring traffic ? I should expect they all do Steph Ray Smith wrote: > -----Original Message----- > From: list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On > Behalf Of Rob Beard > By the looks of things at the moment they don't have any traffic > monitoring on the 50MBit connection although I gather from what I have > read that it will come in sooner or later. > > > I have a couple of friends in the Plymouth area and just outside on virgin. > > They are quite aggressive in their throttling techniques.
