After doing a bit more investigation I think I'd possibly plump for the 20 Meg connection as I can't really afford the £80 installation and collection. At least this way I could get the self install kit and then when I can afford it upgrade at a later date as one of the conditions of me getting Virgin would be to cancel my BT line and Enta connection, and I figure that a self install kit will arrive quicker than an engineer would and I already have the cable connection to the house (in fact I still have an old Telewest modem kicking around somewhere). I also thought even with the throttling on 20 Meg, it's still going to be about the same I get on Enta usually (okay, a little bit slower during the daytime, but I use the connection for downloading at the moment mainly in the evening when the speeds on Enta are slower). There's also the added advantage that if I take the broadband and phone I get the basic telly free (which will save me £15 on a Freeview/Freesat box for the bedroom).
