you could try this homeplug range extender http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/106821/rb/22215330799 it uses your ring main to talk to the router so don't need to overlap as much as with a repeater. it sounds good in my brain anyway. i've never used wifi in windows so i don't know how it'll handle the roaming. I suspect it'd wait to lose the link to 1 accesspoint before talking to the other, unless they operate on the same channel. I find wifi horribly unreliable and try to avoid it if i can. homeplug may give you a better solution if you don't want to run etherweb cables everywhere. from what i've heard its very easy and reliable.
