[LUG] Plug and Play OS

Greetings,

Some Guru's reckon that "P&P OS" option should be deselected in the BIOS
setup when installing Linux, although I have never come across this in
the installation guidance on any distro's.  Is this a safe option on a
dual boot (Windows/Linux) box where Windows is already installed, or
should one deselect the BIOS option and then perform a clean install of
both OS's?
