[LUG]Re: Mailing list subscriptions

I am not too sure, but better than nothing I guess. I don't have the contacts in the right places really. If the site looks like it is also being updated (as in say posts) then that looks good too, I tend not to bother with a website where looks like there has been no update in a while.

Maybe just giving the group a mention in various social channels could help, it gets us out there, even in a small way.

Hi Brad

Thanks for this, I have updated the join page, so hopefully it is clearer,  I have to admin I hardly noticed the sign up button at the top earlier, hence the confusion.

Is there a way to make this stand out a little more ?

Hope this helps

Does the website get many hits? I often wonder if you're not actively promoting something, whether websites do indeed get traffic ... it doesn't "magically reach people" and indeed, marketing seminars I've been to, always talk of your "target audience" and "model person" you want to hit... it's definitely a valid methodology, but I fear we're hoping that the 1 in 10,000 'hit' might give us a few more members, and I don't believe it works like that any more ..

Happy to hear others thoughts, and reflections.. as always!

Michael/veremitz.
