Yes, I always like that.
I configure the wife's KDE on openSUSE very different from mine; and on
XFCE for others it is a very simple desktop with usually only three
options: email (Thunderbird); browser (Firefox with add-ons for add
blocking), second browser usually Vivaldi for use to book medical
appointments etc. No sudo active, so maintenance by me for them.
