Hello Neil,

Yes and, as you say, that'll work.

I have to admit though, that when I shared a USB connected printer, it
was to computers with an ethernet connection. We had no wifi devices at
the time.

Ask me whether your laptop or 'phone can pick up a USB printer via a
router's wifi, and I couldn't answer with any certainty.

It's all (by all, I mean _everything_, not just telephones and printers)
getting a bit too finicky for my liking, anyway.
As an example, I recently lost info about the home solar installation
on one of the apps on my 'phone. Traced the problem to the installation
hub thinking it did not having an ethernet connection (everything
checked out fine). Dunno why, but after a week or so, everything was
back to normal. I changed nothing.
