I have had this printer for nearly 8 years, and have never had problems with any black cartridges before. So I did not realise that there could be a problem. I of course thought that I had not inserted the black cartridge correctly, but the chap in the shop said it was fine.
Oops, just had a call from the shop, and the printer itself has gone wrong somewhere. For the cost of replacement parts I could buy a new one. No brainer. So, here we go again,
