The phrase 'feature creep' comes to mind .. .. With regards to Git servers, there's a few out there. I used to use Gogs[0], but then I moved to gitolite[1], which I haven't moved away from since. I use that with cgit and fcgiwrap :-) I seem to recall that there was a bit of drama with Gogs a long time ago - at least, it feels like it .. - and thre's now a fork called Gitea[2]. Not tried it, or Gogs anytime recently, but I just thought I'd throw that out there if anyone's interested in setting up their own Git server. For hosting, Bitbucket is a good alternative, but there's also notabug.org[3], which I use occasionally, but I think given the news about Github, I may well move my repos to NAB for mirroring, and continue my existing approach of pushing to mirrors, whilst maintaining my Gitolite instance. Gitlab is also another option. I've digressed a bit there. I *hope* this rumour about M$ acquiring Github is merely fluff to be ignored, but if it happens .. yeah, that's a bit depressing. Will have to twiddle my thumbs and see what happens...
