Can you not just use aptitude, instead of apt, to remove the offending digikam package? It will offer you various strategies to solve your package mess. sudo aptitude purge digikam If you'd added the package sensibly and not ignored the BIG FAT warning about unmet dependencies you could have simply used ppa-purge to back out the package and the repo at the same time but now you're going to have do it manually. I highly suggest you don't intentionally break your system's package dependencies in the future!
