I have an Acer Iconia A500.. lovely 10.1" tablet running Android 3.0 - some have been upgraded to 3.2 and apparently 4.0 is in the pipeline. Whatever you decide to go for, may I suggest Ebay as many sellers on there are selling tablets they had for Christmas for the simple (and in my view mistaken) reason 'It's not an iPad'. Personal opinion, I don't care, the Iconia is in my view better :)Hi Any recommendations for tablet computers, not buying yet, but I have so many pdf files it may help to have something other than a netbook to read them on, So android OS and a kindle App would be useful too, pdf reader is colour which is helpful esp as Open university course books are in colour, and the electronic versions are PDF, so being able to read without having to cart a pile of books around with me would be useful. given a kindle costs £89 a little more gets a tablet that can do a lot more. Or even a little less. I guess these things hook up to wifi too, not that important but a feature. any recommendations Paul
Mine has the Amazon Kindle software on it, and there are of course PSF readers on the Marketplace. However if it's only/primarily ereader use I'd agree to buying a dedicated one, but if it's general use a fully fledged tablet is best.
