It's a real shame that OLED screens aren't cheaper yet, my Galaxy S has a Super AMOLED screen and it's lovely, even in bright sunlight (with the brightness on the screen whacked up), but as a SIM free phone it's still about 300 quid and that's just a 4 inch screen.
Still the technology is getting there slowly.The Kindle app isn't too bad on Android although I gather that the Kindle itself is more loved than the app (AFAIK if you have Amazon Prime at 50 quid a year you can borrow an e-book on the Kindle eBook reader hardware for as long as you have a Prime subscription).
