<lots of snippage>
The council is enabling motorists to park for just 30p for a whole day in several Torbay beach car parks from the beginning of November. The "Park for a Pound" promotion gets underway on Friday 3 December, and will run for four weekends up to Christmas. A £1 ticket purchased in any of Torbay Council's pay and display car parks after 6pm on a Friday evening (3, 10, 17 and 24 December) will be valid right up until 10am on the following Monday. It will be valid in all pay and display car parks, which means that motorists can drive around the Bay throughout the weekend and use the same parking ticket. The promotion is not valid in on-street parking areas. The £1 weekend offer will be available in the Harbour car park in The Terrace, Torquay, but as this is a pay on exit system, the ticket cannot be used in other car parks and the £1 payment applies for each visit to the car park.
That's good news, although you might have wanted to snip some of it out and just leave what was relevant.
Saying that, Torbay Council haven't updated their web site yet. Rob -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
