I have tried WPA FSK also but that did not work. I suspect that WEP won't play either. Anyway since I use my laptop mainly in the same room as my router I can link it to the router by cable so the wifi will be irrelevant. Also it is more of a test machine where I can try out various distros, so it is not very important that I can't use it with wifi if there is any security set up. Now for the XP laptop downstairs. That was working fine with the previous router so it should be set up to find any wifi links. But it is telling us that wifi is not set up. Perhaps we have pressed some button or key that turns off the wifi. We will have a play today. > Neil, anytime you would like a hand with a computer or something I can > pop around on occasion as I'm just a couple miles away and often bored, > my hourly rate is a cup of tea. :] > Sounds good. My wife is a CAB counsellor and works on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I am often at home alone and bored too. We must arrange something. I am sure we can manage a cuppa although I never drink tea myself. Coffee man me.
