Very true. Also, as a consequence of getting more snow/ice for longer
periods of the year, the increase in the planet's albedo could mean that
the heat created by the sun's rays is not as powerful a force, resulting
in the ice not being fully melted between seasons. The ultimate result
being we'd be sent into an ice age.
All worst case scenario stuff of course.
