Then again, this is the best thing to happen this year, as it will mean that at the next election we can rid this country of labour and send them in to political history, any government taking over will scrap this tax anyway. Or risk the same. Paul
There probably is, will they take any notice of it though? If anyone does suffer from slow (i.e. under 2MBit/sec) broadband, they could be worth heading over to the Broadband Not Spot site which is run by the guys at ThinkBroadband.com
http://www.broadband-notspot.org.uk/From what I understand, they are actually trying to map areas where broadband is slow.
Just seen this too on ThinkBroadband.com.... *http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/4056-bt-pledge-24meg-to-75-of-the-country-by-2011.html*BT are pledging to bring up to 24 Meg broadband to 75% of the country by 2011. I wonder though, will some of this be in Virgin Media areas?
I mean, at the moment they're trialling VDSL (up to about 45 Meg IIRC) broadband using Fibre to the Cabinets in areas which are already covered by Virgin Media. To be honest I think they would be better trialling it in areas who are currently stuck at under 2 Meg.
