It looks more like some sort of permissions issue, here's the last few entries from this morning:

(Some appeared more than once, so I've copied one of each over). The printer was set up in CUPS as 'HP'.
OK, I wasn't using https, I can now connect from another machine to
https://equium:631 (equium is the name of the server) and can see the CUPS front page. From here I was able to go into 'Manage Jobs' and cancel the job from this morning, however most pages I go into come up 'connection refused' and there are some more entries in the error log:

(Again, some duplicates). I've found this page by Googling one of the error messages, haven't had a chance to test it yet though:
