This page shows some of them - http://www.linuxlinks.com/Software/Home_and_Education/Cataloging/index.shtml the one that seems to be most recommend, at least for KDE, is tellico which I as understand it has templates for collections of various types of object. Not for CD collections, but books, is Alexandria. I use this for keeping track of my library and although the developers haven't been exactly over active of late it's a really great bit of software. For anyone with an ebook reader calibre is a brilliantly fabulous application. You can keep track of your ebooks, convert them into different formats, get details and cover images from the net if you have an ISBM number (Alexandria also has this feature) and download them to your reader.
