This may or may not be good news:
I believe Trolltech release Qt under dual license  commercial and GPL.
If they've accepted public contributions (and with KDE etc using Qt then I 
would find it hard to believe their wasn't any input) then surly they cant 
drop the licensing from GPL to LGPL?
