Hi I have Debian on my "main" machine. I used to use Ubuntu to log into it. After an upgrade to Ubuntu it stopped working. (Although I could get in via another Debian machine I still put it down to finger trouble. However I have a live PCLinuxOS disk. (From the Mag). Well that works (though obviously very slow), so I can only think its a Ubuntu problem. Has any one come across this?
