The company I work for in London (West End) uses a datacentre in Docklands. It hosts all of the servers. However, the network management staff still have to go there in person quite regularly to sort out issues. I don't know if this is down to the type of service agreement that we have with them. However, it indicates to me that a data centre cannot be too far away. A data centre in Cornwall would need to provide a comprehensive service that did not require any
direct interaction from their customers.
