Very true. My preferred desktop is KDE. However, I use Claws-Mail,
Pan, gFTP and GRAMPS, all "Gnome" applications. Top get these packages
to run under KDE, some Gnome stuff may have to be installed, but not
the whole windowing system.
I believe there are some packages that won't run outside their
preferred environment, but I've yet to encounter one. Mainly due to
lack of trying to find one, probably. :-)
