I am with the other Mark on this - I like the ability to choose a basic, yet well featured, desktop - be that Gnome or KDE or whatever, which comes on one single cd, yet offers me the opportunity to add extra software - including other desktops should I desire. As Mark said, adding whatever other desktop you need is as easy as clicking on the relevant package in Synaptic or Adept or using apt-get. Much more sensible than packaging all the desktops in one huge DVD or multiple cd offering.
