HiI have guarddog firewall enabled, and have set this up so it allows imap, pop and smtp mail as well as web browsing and irc, this is on the internet setting, I tried to print and it did not, so I am guessing that it's blocked local tcp/ip,
However I am not sure what box to tick to enable this, tcp/ip is NOT listed under Network.
I my printer is connected to the printer via router and cat 5 and has a static ip address, Debian is happy with this, both the printer and scanner work, I have a week before heading to canada and am not preparerd to fiddle, break something as there won't be time to fix it.
can anyone help please Thanks Paul - http://www.zleap.net http://www.openoffice.org http://www.linux.org -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version 3.1GIT d S: a C+++ UL++++ P+ L++ W++ N+ W--- O! V! PS+ Y! t+++ 5 X+++ R tv- b- DI! D++ G e H! r! z?
