Hi,I've installed the Ati Radeon 9550 glx drivers as described in the Ubuntu wiki and I'd like to enable my second monitor - although I'm unsure of how to edit the Xorg config properly as the card has two output ports and most of the guides I see involve having two seperate cards. I don't mind doing a bit of config editing!GLX acceleration is working for the record. I cannot for the life of me get GLX/DRI working on my SuperSavage. I have managed to get xinerama dualscreen working though.
Some pointers: Xinerama- join two screens together in softwareMergedFB- If you have DRI, you can use this to merge the two screens more transparently. This mode also supports xrandr, so you can setup dynamic configs with this. See:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Dual_Monitors and http://ozlabs.org/~jk/docs/mergefb/Please let me know how you get on. I have a xinerama config for my savage if you would like.
Hope this helps Simon - The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe. FAQ: www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
