Having observed the PDA scene for the past 18 months or so, all I can say is that the market moves almost as fast as the phone & digital camera markets, and I would wait until the funds are available before evaluating anything too closely. The market will change completely in 3 or 4 months, and the chances are that the model you originally favoured will have been superceded, or probably bettered by a different manufacturer. But yeah, the Sharp Zaurus line is probably the best supported Linux PDA platform. I'd go for one if I could justify the expense! Am still perfectly happy with my £50 VTech Helio (circa 2001, about £3 on eBay).. -- Jeremy Pearson ICT Technician Five Islands School, St Marys, Isles of Scilly, TR21 0JY Tel: 01720 422929 Fax: 01720 422969 Web: fisonline.org.uk jeremypearson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
