You don't need to, if you display the clients on your local PC X Server. Are you sure your present software does not manage that?
As one of you said, i could do it the other way round, have the xserver at the windows end using cygwyn and just remote the apps on the server but the last time i had cygwyn running under windows it took up 100's of mb's which i didn't really consider to be thin client fodder :)
I'm sure there are thinner ones :)
