Are these the executable files?  What system is it?  Did you install any of them 
from source (firefox)?

Here's my Debian Sid:

gsewell@xxxxxx:~$ whereis firefox
firefox: /usr/bin/firefox /usr/share/man/man1/firefox.1.gz
gsewell@xxxxxx:~$ whereis mozilla
mozilla: /usr/bin/mozilla /etc/mozilla /usr/lib/mozilla /usr/include/mozilla 
/usr/share/man/man1/mozilla.1.gz
gsewell@xxxxxx:~$ whereis konqueror
konqueror: /usr/bin/konqueror /usr/share/man/man1/konqueror.1.gz
gsewell@xxxxxx:~$
