I have just signed up with Metronet. I'm not connected yet as we don't 
get ADSL enabled 'till January.
First impressions are that they are Linux friendly. It is a wires only 
package, they recommend a proper router and even provide some hints and 
tips on models they have encountered.
The PayGo tariff is a bit odd. They start you at a really low rate then 
charge by the MiB until you reach the max monthly charge (< £30 for 1MB 
connection). The actual transfers are not capped.
