I work for a software company in Crediton (www.cognitosoftware.co.uk).
Welcome.
We supply case management software to solicitors in the UK. Currently all our clients have a Windows server for the database system. We want to convert the software we sell to use PostgreSQL running on Linux
I think that is a good idea, but then I would say that, wouldn't I. But do you mind me asking why you want to do it - why as in what are the reasons or factors that caused the corporate decision to go that way at this time, rather than why as in a challenging way. from a company point of view, looking for training to jump start the process of learning and understanding sounds like a good idea as well, but unlike the MS channel, the documentation of how things work is generally accurate - no bits hidden to compel hiring trainers - although there are bits that nobody may have written yet. -- Adrian Midgley Open Source software is better GP, Exeter http://www.defoam.net/ -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
