I like to use KDE not GNOME. My login screen defaults to "Default System Session"
1. Most Desktop Managers have a options list or a session list and will remember the one you selected lasttime. 2. If not, simply switch to a different DM - KDM or XDM. Logout, use one of the terminal windows (Ctrl-Alt-1) to login, su to root, stop the current xdm (ps waux | grep dm and then kill) and start a new one - using the scripts in /etc/init.d preferably. You might need to reset X using Ctrl-Alt-Backspace for the new DM to initialise once you've killed the old one. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ http://www.isbn.org.uk/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/isbnsearch/ http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x8801094A28BCB3E3
