The ABIT NF7-SL uses the NVIDIA NForce 2 400 chipset which works is very Linux friendly (NVIDIA supply the drivers too). You might also want to look at the ASUS A7NX-E Deluxe which is a similar spec and price but carries more extra functions than you might ever want to use - and its blindingly fast. They also both use Nvidia Soundstorm chips which are supported with nvidia linux drivers and work fine. Add an NVIDIA graphics card to either of these boards and you shouldn't encounter any Linux compatibility problems - I've tested the ASUS with SuSe 9, Fedora core 1 and Knoppix without any hassle. carl On Thu, 2004-04-15 at 06:39, Mike Tidball wrote:
Hi, is anyone using an ABIT NF7-SL motherboard with SUSE 9.0. Are there any compatibility problems,I'm asking because the board is not listed on the SUSE site of compatible hardware. Thanks.
