Hi Unfortunately, we are stuck with MS as the main OS as that is all that the main s/ware suppliers support. MS Office is not (and may not be) in use as we use Lotus at the mo. Still need Outlook Express unfortunately. Open Office is not an option because of file compatibility (good but still not perfect). Never mind. tell the client that as long as they have MS office then they can never be safe - anti-virus software plays catch-up all the time - and you may be too late. i have just written vbs scripts to disable office macro security and it was too easy. MS have a fundemental inability to understand security - which is why they have so many problems (klex, nimda, et al) get them to install openoffice - and provide them with better email software than outlook [express]. my 2p, kev
