and those IBM boxes in the 'plymouth shop' - are the SCSI boards (Adaptec 2940 scsi2 PC) any good ...and where is the shop??? kev A quick visit to the Adaptec website shows the AHA 2940 as a SCSI 2 32bit pci card with high density connector at the back capable of supporting 7 devices internally and 7 externally, with a sustained transfer speed of 10MB/s not brutally fast but a tad quicker than IDE
Would this be the shop that used to be in the Armarda centre ? which is now in the car park near the armarda centre ?? Also i know that the Adaptec 2940 is a stonking card, i have had one since i started with CD-RW (486's) and it is still going strong, linux laps it up... -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
