Ah, don't tend to use that either. Seems curious that using a different installer would/would not install an automounter though...
I have plenty of fun fighting with solaris' volmgt most of the time, dont bother with that stuff under linux.Never bothered with it as such. Create the partitions - format, newfs, mount and then leave it :-)
