how do i stop kppp asking for the root password when it starts as a normal user ?
I noticed this too. I don't think you can. Setting kppp (the binary) as suid made no difference. Try the kde web site or one of its mailing lists/archives they may well know. Don't forget to let us know as well if you get an answer :-) John. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ John Horne, University of Plymouth, UK Tel: +44 (0)1752 233914 E-mail: jhorne@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx PGP key available from public key servers -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
