Fortunately being user friendly most Linux installers will
remove or shrink Windows partitions, so we don't need a
knowledge base article for the opposite.

Redhat run a knowledge base, but to be honest the search engines
are so effective these days all you need do is post a usenet
article, D&CLUG posting, put up a web page, or some such, and
anyone in trouble will find it when they need it.
