Hello Julian,
I have set up a (very basic) mailing list via a wordpress plug-in on a
website. Names and addresses are stored in the wp database.
Whilst this might not be quite what you are after it seems to be working
well and handles subscribe/unsubscribe, and confirmation (for gdpr) and
you can send out 'campaigns' etc.
