No its not tinnitus! My laptop is making a very mosquito like sound at
the top frequency limit of my hearing that sounds a bit like disk access
in its 'rhythm' but its got an SSD and the disk access light doesn't
seem to be flashing (I'll try it in the dark later to see if its just
too short to make the LED visible to my old and bleary eyes). Anyone
got a clue what it might be and is it likely to be heading for some kind
of failure - the laptop not me!
