Hi Tom,
I use the Libreoffice suite including base.
Mainly I use base for invoicing and I link the database to a writer
document for the layout. I find it works for me, though on fresh
installs have had to sometimes load in extra java elements so it works
properly.
I'm not a particularly knowledgable or in depth user...
