Reading this conversation it's occurred to me that it's years since I saw someone in a support role (whether professional or via a random internet list/subreddit/forum) actually tell someone to RTFM and turn their back on them.
Clearly we're all failing to uphold the stereotype of elitest grey-bearded gurus. We should strive to be ruder and less helpful.
