I have been using TB for my e-mails since moving to linux about 15 years
ago.
I have not noticed any major changes in those years.
I have switched from pop3 to imap and archive (using a plugin called
AutoarchiveReloaded
(addons://detail/AutoarchiveReloaded@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) to
local folders so I have an ongoing record stored locally.
I extensively filter messages and my only real issue with switching to
imap is the difficulty in moving mis-filtered messages across folders as
the filter just filters them back again... there is probably a way round
this I have put little effort in to sorting it...
