I've used FreeCAD for years on Linux and Windows and it has a Mac client. It has a learning curve like all this stuff but there are plenty of tutorials on YT.

I went through the tutorial for the engine with the dodgy spline
a while back but haven't had the time to get back to it. OpenSCAD
is the sort of think I can bend to my will easily! I did wonder
about blender ing the thing too but the OpenSCAD code type
interface interface is just up my programmers alley.
