HiI've taken over a fresh install of Ubuntu on a remote server and it seems it's been installed with LVM.
Physically, it's a 2TB drive but it seems only 200G has been assigned to / root@vladimir:/home/mart# lsblk NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT loop0 7:0 0 55.4M 1 loop /snap/core18/2128 loop1 7:1 0 32.3M 1 loop /snap/snapd/12704 loop2 7:2 0 70.3M 1 loop /snap/lxd/21029 loop3 7:3 0 32.3M 1 loop /snap/snapd/13170 loop4 7:4 0 61.9M 1 loop /snap/core20/1169 loop5 7:5 0 67.3M 1 loop /snap/lxd/21545 sda 8:0 0 1.8T 0 disk ├─sda1 8:1 0 512M 0 part /boot/efi ├─sda2 8:2 0 1G 0 part /boot └─sda3 8:3 0 1.8T 0 part └─ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 253:0 0 200G 0 lvm / root@vladimir:/home/mart# pvs PV VG Fmt Attr PSize PFree /dev/sda3 ubuntu-vg lvm2 a-- <1.82t 1.62t root@vladimir:/home/mart# pvdisplay --- Physical volume --- PV Name /dev/sda3 VG Name ubuntu-vg PV Size <1.82 TiB / not usable 3.00 MiB Allocatable yes PE Size 4.00 MiB Total PE 476547 Free PE 425347 Allocated PE 51200 PV UUID qzGaew-Ske6-rV6m-T1KM-7Ii2-WjeN-b6tnST root@vladimir:/home/mart#I don't know much about LVM currently. Will / stretch to fill by drive automatically or do I need to do something else? How would I stretch / to fill the drive? Or should I add a new partition and mount it within / ? How would I do that using LVM?
