There are plenty of these windows "cloud books" around used for about £100 ofte 4gig memory 32 gig ram and 64bit. I have got an HP stream one that I have windows with Mint 20, it is quite useable. 3 USB slots and a SD card slot.

If you're looking at the "high end" Chromebooks (which feels like it should be an oxymoron) then yeah, they're going to be expensive. Compare with this, however:
